Ministry
The pumping of the Holy Spirit runs rampant in my soul. I can't help but to follow Christ who is constantly in my thoughts. The Word literally plays over and over in my thoughts as I go throughout my days. As you have probably figured out surfing through this site, I am a survivor of childhood domestic abuse. The effects of abuse can range from following the cycle to breaking free of oppression. Intermixed with both are a slew of emotional battles to try to overcome. Personally, I found the grace of Christ and He has walked with me through those dark times to see the light. This wasn't easy and honestly, there are more demons I must battle. Satan is very much alive as he reminds us of our past, our sin, and our weaknesses. However, we have a God of mercy and love that battles for us. I have learned to understand the verse found in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly for my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
It's through my weaknesses; my hardships, that Christ can use my story to help others. The trials I have endured will glorify the Lord in ways that are impactful to the people of this world to show His goodness and salvation no matter what kind of life you currently lead or the struggles you have endured. And I graciously praise His Holy Name when a person's life is touched in a meaningful way, as He uses me, an instrument, to build the Kingdom of God.
I watched a 4-part sermon series online given by Craig Groeschel who is the senior pastor at Life Church in Wellington, Florida. It's title was Divine Direction and it certainly stirred my heart with the vision God has laid on my heart years ago. I encourage anyone who is looking for their purpose in life to check out the series. I've provided the link below. Simply put, God gives us a divine burden for a divine direction.
God has given me 4 visions and two of them are in place. The first was writing and publishing Safe Under the Willow. The second is leading a bible study for women who have been oppressed which is thriving. I'm so very thankful God has poured His blessings out on these two visions! The remaining two are yet to be seen, however God is setting the stage to begin the third project.

I have discovered that God has granted me a talent of writing and the gift of teaching. Throughout my walk with God, my prayer is that I always stay true to the Word of God, writing and teaching in an honorable fashion that pleases the Lord. I rely heavily on the Holy Spirit to convict me if I misunderstand or misinterpret scripture in any way. I also reach out to trusted brothers and sisters for their guidance as well. I believe it's vital to have a group of followers of Christ to reach out to and discuss various topics and biblical truths. Throughout the pages and devotions you read, I promise to be genuine and authentic filled with raw truth. I have no degrees or special training, but I do have a heart for God and a love that surpasses any earthly meaning known to man.
I'd like to point out one last thing. Writing and reading words, whether on a screen or in a book, only goes so far. When you have a relationship with Christ He calls us out to actually live what we read and learn. My pastor said it this way, "You have to take the head knowledge and apply it to your heart knowledge." Our actions and reactions- our ways of living matter because the world is watching ready to pounce and call us hypocrites. So when you read the words on the screen, think how you can apply it to your life and follow through with it.
May you feel loved by our Heavenly Father as His hand is upon you.
